Tuscany Montalcino Pienza

Hike & Taste Tour

Tuscany is wonderful, backpacking through some of the most beautiful countryside of the world is even better. Especially if super wines and tasty food are waiting for you at the end of the day!

The countryside of Val d'Orcia where this hiking tour takes place, has been a UNESCO heritage since 2004. Its magical atmosphere, light colors and gentle hills are among some of the most attractive landscapes of the world.
Backpacking each day from village to village will give you a chance to explore ancient villages such as Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano and San Quirico d'Orcia.

Along the trail there are several cultural opportunities, such as visiting ancient Roman churches, neo-renaissance villages and other interesting buildings that make this place unique in the world… a real dive into the Italian cultural heritage.
In addition to being professionals hikers, our guides may also tell you something more about the history, culture and art of the places you are travelling through. Without forgetting that in the evening you may want to taste some special wine and tasty local products…

The entire hiking tour takes place in Val d'Orcia. The change in elevation is low but the length of the hike may be longer compared to other tours. There are no special technical requirements, but good physical fitness is recommended.
